The Elder’s Pride Committee is composed of nine (9) elected Tribal Elders. The primary mission of the Elder’s Pride Committee is to provide information and resources to the Elder’s of the tribe. The Committee meets twice a month on the second and fourth Wednesday at 9 A.M., to discuss Elder needs such as; medical concerns, nutritional needs, and Elder health and safety needs in the community. The Committee strives to identify resources available to the San Pasqual Tribe, in an effort to address the Elder’s concerns.
Additionally, on a social level, the Elder’s Pride Committee plans and coordinates social events and outings in the local communities. Annual destinations travels trips are also planned by the Elder’s Committee in an effort to enhance and broaden their cultural knowledge, as well as, enrich their lives during the “golden years”.
A monthly Elder’s luncheon is held at the San Pasqual Tribal Community Center, Valley Center, California, on every third Wednesday of the month. The luncheon is open to all San Pasqual Tribal Elder’s and their guest. The luncheon is an opportunity for social gathering, sharing of a nutritional meal, and an opportunity to receive valuable information from the designated guest speaker of the month.
