The San Pasqual Reservation offers a Firefighter Academy that is accredited by the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC). Upon successful completion of the Academy; students will be eligible to receive their State of California Firefighter 1 certificate. Our 14 week Academy provides for 19 individual certifications, 15.5 college units and is open to anyone who is at least 18 year of age. The San Pasqual Reservation Fire Academy curriculum is presented in a condensed format delivers an intensive “hands on” approach. 624 hours of instruction and is the only Fire Academy in California to provide the IFSAC accreditation. This accreditation allows our cadets to compete for jobs in the United States and abroad. The Academy provides the cadet with a basic knowledge of fire service operations and provides them with the entry-level skills required by most fire departments. The college units earned can be applied to an Associate’s degree. The full time academy will be in session from 0600 to 1800 hours Monday through Saturday.
